A collection of images from my time as an Architecture Undergraduate.

Soil Science Centre (Undergraduate)

For our final year project, we were set the brief to design a Soil Research facility within the promixity of Winterhill in Lancashire. My developments took me into looking at the symbiotic relationship between plants and the mycorrhizae. A fungi which attatches itself to its host root hair cells to improve its nutrient intake.

My solution was a geodesic grid structure forming a relationship with an old castle folly on the site.

Taken with the help of Adam Wenmouth.

Pavilion Live Project (Undergraduate)

This pavilion was a live group project undertaken during our Professional Studies in 3rd year. Along with Joe Cook, Keith Tasker and Martin Quint we set up a series of workshops with a local school. During these workshops we explored architectural styles and interpritations with the pupils.

At the end of the process we took the drawings and models that the pupils had produced and functioned them into a full scale size version of their visions.

Field Trips (Undergraduate)

During my undergraduate degree I participated in a number of field trips in and outside of the UK. I tried to capture unique elements within each photograph, something that only I had experienced. Each image expresses a story, a reflection on its typology.
